Welcome to the Cochrane Cancer Network
People (patients, carers, health care professionals, researchers, or policy makers) faced with having to make critical health care decisions relating to cancer need to be aware, and have a right to know, which interventions have been shown to be effective and which haven't.

The Cochrane Cancer Network represents the cancer wing of the Cochrane Collaboration: the international non-profit and independent organisation that produces and disseminates systematic reviews of healthcare interventions.

Mission statement of the Cochrane Cancer Network:
To facilitate the preparation, maintenance and dissemination of Cochrane systematic reviews in cancer addressing the information needs of cancer patients, clinical practitioners and researchers.

The preparation and maintenance of Cochrane reviews in cancer is the responsibility of 14 Cochrane Collaborative Review Groups based around the world. Cochrane reviews are disseminated electronically through the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews. The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews is published quarterly as part of The Cochrane Library and the NeLH Cancer Specialist Library.
